LMAX Group, an operator of institutional exchanges for FX
and digital assets trading, has announced the appointment of Chris Knight to
the role of Managing Director. Knight, an experienced financial markets
professional with over 30 years of industry experience, will be relocating from
Sydney to London to assume his new position over the summer.
Leading Operations and Growth Strategy
In his new role, Knight will initially focus on overseeing
the operations and future growth strategy of LMAX Digital, the institutional
cryptocurrency exchange operated by LMAX Group. This responsibility comes as
Jenna Wright, Managing Director, takes maternity leave.
Knight’s extensive career includes notable positions such as
APAC Head of Distribution and Liquidity Optimization at XTX Markets and over a
decade at Standard Chartered Bank, where he was responsible for the bank’s
e-commerce strategy across FX, Rates, and Credit. His experience also
encompasses FX trading roles spanning Asia, with bases in Singapore, Hong Kong,
and Tokyo.

Industry Roles Strengthen Global Network
Knight has held several industry roles,
including Director and President of ACI Australia, and is a member of the
Australian Foreign Exchange Committee, a representative forum of the
Australian foreign exchange market. His appointment brings with it an extensive
global network of institutional client and industry relationships.
